Tyagaraja Festival

The Tyagaraja Festival, a festival to celebrate one of India's gratest Clasical musics composers, St Tyagaraja. This festival is celebrated by the academy every year.

These festivals feature both local, interstate and international artists. The presentations are comprised of both music and dance coupled with speaches and lectures.

The Tyagaraja Festival is presented by the Academy in conjunction with Monash University. This year the concert will be held on the 21st (9am to 2pm) and 22nd (9.30am to 10.30) of April. The Festival will be held at Alexandera Theater, at Monash University, Clayton, and not at the Robert Blackwood Hall,Monash University, Clayton, as advertised.

The Festival will feature the usual local, interstate and international artists. Thepresentations are comprised of both music and dance coupled with speaches and lectures.

This the final concert will done by S. Sowmia (on Vocal), B U Prassad (on Violin) and Neyveli Narayanan (on the Mridangam).

Admission to the festival is free, except for the final concert by S. Sowmia. Tickets are $20 foe Adults, $15 for Conssesstion and $45 for Families.
